All students are strongly encouraged to participate in athletic competition as a significant piece of their academic, social, and personal growth at MTS. There are year-round opportunities to be a part of a team in a variety of sports; both team and individual.

MTS - Athletic Code of Conduct

High School

MTS participates in WIAA interscholastic competition as a member of the Sea-Tac 1B League for all high school sports. The Sea-Tac 1B League is a very diverse league whose motto is Character, Culture, Community, and Competition. The nine member schools are Christian Faith, Evergreen Lutheran, Mount Rainier Lutheran, Muckleshoot Tribal, Northwest Yeshiva, Puget Sound Adventist, Quilcene, Rainier Christian, and Shorewood Christian. High School students can compete as a Muckleshoot King in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, softball, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling during the designated WIAA sport season.

Middle School

MTS participates in WIAA interscholastic competition as a member of the Chinook League for all middle school sports. The Chinook League members are Annie Wright, Carbonado, Chief Leschi, Crosspoint Academy, Heritage Christian, Lighthouse Christian, Muckleshoot Tribal, and Rainier Christian. Middle School students can compete as a Muckleshoot King in basketball, soccer, track and field, and volleyball during the designated sport season. Under certain conditions as regulated by the WIAA, eighth graders may eligible to compete as a member of the high school squads.
